Significant Internet Outage Affects Numerous Online Platforms and Apps
An extensive online disruption has affected numerous sites and mobile apps globally, as users experiencing problems accessing the internet due to difficulties at Amazon’s online infrastructure platform.
The affected apps include Snapchat, Roblox, Signal, and Duolingo, as well as several Amazon-managed services such as its key e-commerce website and the Ring security device manufacturer.
Throughout Britain, Lloyds bank was impacted as well as its affiliates the bank Halifax and Bank of Scotland, with additional accounts of issues using the HMRC site on Monday morning. Also in the UK, multiple Ring users turned to social media to state their home gadgets were failing.

Amazon reported that the issue originated in the eastern region of the United States at the cloud division, a division that supplies essential internet infrastructure for a host of firms, who utilize resources on the company's servers. The outage tracker Thousand Eyes, a service that tracks online failures, also reported a rise in outages on that morning, with many of them located in the state of Virginia, the site of Amazon’s US-East-1 region where the company stated the outage began.
